Research Programme

Since the Thirties, amateur researchers have been carrying out initial research into the origin of these emigrants of whom we actually know very little. These researchers included, in the 30's, the Canadian lawyer Alfred Cambray, and the Reverend Father Archange Godebout.

More recently, the Perche-Canada Association founded in 1956, ensured the relaunching of this research thanks to the actions of its president Édouard Leboucher, the secretary Canon Jean Aubry and especially the decisive work of Françoise Montagne that have been a reference as much for Canada as for Perche.
