This work of art is realised as a part of the 400 years anniversary of the creation of Quebec.
It was an opportunity for France to emphasize the strong bond existing between France and Quebec since the founding of the city of Quebec by the French Samuel de Champlain on July 3rd 1608.
During the year 2008 France is going to participate and organise many events in order to celebrate the 400th year anniversary.
Among many important events that will animate the 400th anniversary, “La Grande Vague” has an important impact.
This event celebrates the arrival of the first “settlers” that have left different regions of France (Perche, Saintonge…).
