Living in New France

Living in New France

This world was new for the French emigrants. The forests were immense and full of game. The rivers were energetic, grandiose. The river, along the banks of which many new colonies sprang up, was majestic.

In these immensities, everything had to be built.

The emigrants adapted to their new environment through innovation and by borrowing from the Amerindians some of their customs and technology.
